No, you cannot file a return using your last pay stub. Your last paycheck stub is not guaranteed to be an accurate statement of your annual earnings, and it could be missing some information that you need to file a full tax return.


Please bring your W-2 forms, 1099 forms, receipts and any other relevant tax documents. If you are unsure of what to bring, please contact us and we will be happy to help you.

 However there are many different factors can affect the timing of your refund after the IRS receive your return. Although the IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days, the IRS cautions taxpayers not to rely on receiving a refund by a certain date, especially when making major purchases or paying bills.


Identity theft and refund fraud. Some returns may require additional review and may take longer. The IRS, along with its partners in the tax industry, continue to strengthen security reviews to help protect against identity theft and refund fraud.


IRS cannot issue EITC and ACTC refunds before mid-February. Refunds for people claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) can't be issued before mid-February. The law requires the IRS to hold the entire refund − even the portion not associated with EITC or ACTC.


Returns requiring manual review. Some returns, filed electronically or on paper, may need manual review delaying the processing if our systems detect a possible error, the return is missing information, or there is suspected identity theft or fraud. Some of these situations require us to correspond with taxpayers, but some do not. This work does require special handling by an IRS employee so, in these instances, it may take the IRS more than the normal 21 days to issue any related refund. In cases where the IRS is able to correct the return without corresponding, the IRS will send an explanation to the taxpayer.


The IRS sends notices and letters for the following reasons:

  • You have a balance due.
  • You are due a larger or smaller refund.
  • We have a question about your tax return.
  • We need to verify your identity.
  • We need additional information.
  • We changed your return.
  • We need to notify you of delays in processing your return.


Yes, IRS will reject the return if not filed with taxes.

  • Taxpayers that have Health insurance through Healthcare.gov Market place  would need statement 1095-A to file on Premium Tax Credit form 8962 with your taxes (even if taxpayer was ONLY insured for one month out the  of the tax year with the Marketplace.
  • Please see Health Insurance Marketplace Statement below .( This form can be downloaded if tax payer did receive their statement in the mail) Taxpayers who have Health Insurance through the market place can log onto their account via Healthcare.gov to access their statement.

Health Insurance Marketplace Statement

 Form 1095-A is provided here for informational purposes only. Health Insurance Marketplaces use Form 1095-A to report information on enrollments in a qualified health plan in the individual market through the Marketplace. As the form is to be completed by the Marketplaces, individuals cannot complete and use Form 1095-A available on IRS.gov. Individuals receiving a completed Form 1095-A from the Health Insurance Marketplace will use the information received on the form and the guidance in the instructions to assist them in filing an accurate tax return
